Podgorica, (MINA) – President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic stated on Saturday that he will press charges against Vijesti daily for the accusations that on his account were made by president of Atlas group Dusko Knezevic in the interview to that daily.
Knezevic, who is on the red Interpol’s warrant notice, told in the interview to Vijesti, among other things, that there is a recording in which Milo Djukanovic in his house receives from Knezevic a sports bag with money, as well as the conversation they led on that occasion.
The president’s cabinet stated that “false and unverified accusations on Djukanovic’s account, published in the today’s [Friday] edition of the daily Vijesti, in a form of an interview with the fugitive Dusko Knezevic, are calculated spreading of sensationalism, with the goal of fueling the scheduled protests”.
“This tendentious interview, as well as the series of articles that burst with false information and claims against the President of the country, will be the reason for pressing charges by president Milo Djukanovic”, the press release stated.
