Podgorica, (MINA) – OSCE assistance in drafting amendments to the Law on Media is contributing to improvement of Montenegro’s negotiating position in the process of EU accession, said Minister of Culture Aleksandar Bogdanovic.
He met head of OSCE mission in Podgorica Marysse Daviet.
Bogdanovic stressed OSCE’s assistance in drafting amendments to the Law on Media which is contributing to improvement of Montenegro’s negotiating position in the process of EU accession.
“The meeting expressed belief that this process will to a significant extent contribute to establishing of a systematic approach in improvement of freedom of expression and the ambience for free work of the media”, the press release stated.
It has been emphasized that cooperation between OSCE and the Ministry of Culture in combating illegal trade in cultural objects will be continued, through organizing new models of cooperation aimed towards police and customs officers.
“It is of utmost importance in terms of ratifying UNIDROIT Convention on Stolen and Illegally Exported Cultural Objects that entered into force in March”, the press release explained.
