Podgorica, (MINA) – The police and customs officials have seized at the Bozaj border crossing in Montenegro around €17 million worth of heroin, while arresting 35-year-old Albanian citizen E.A.
According to a press release, late on Monday, the Montenegrin authorities searched a freight vehicle operated by E.A.
“The officers discovered and seized a total of 30 packages containing 17 kilos of light brown powder which is believed to be heroin,” the press release said.
The police estimated the street value of the seized heroin at around half a million euros.
The incident was reported to the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica, the suspect E.A. was arrested and the heroin was forwarded to the Forensic Center. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
