Agreement worth €1 million signed

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The finance ministers of Montenegro and Slovakia, Darko Radunovic and Peter Kazimir, have signed an agreement for financial contribution between the line ministers of the two countries, worth €1 million.

According to Radunovic, the games of chance have been recognized as the priority sector for budget support in the process of finding the best solution for the use of the financial assistance coming from Slovakia.

“Further development of the games of chance is of great importance for Montenegro. Development of a good legislative environment for an upgrade of the information system for supervision of the games of chance organizers, support for the software and hardware solution, and development of capacities of the Games of Chance Administration, will create a positive effect in Montenegro in terms of revenues,” Radunovic said after having signed the agreement.

He expressed expectation that Slovakia’s policy towards Montenegro would maintain focus on the development goals in the Montenegrin economic sector, as well as the hope that it would continue to support the development projects.

Kazimir said that this €1 million worth agreement would pay off as it would result in a reduction of costs.

“We would like to improve the public finances in Montenegro. We have modernized our public finances and would like to transfer our experience to Montenegro,” said Kazimir, adding that he expected a successful development of cooperation between the two countries.
