Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Negotiations on extension of the Free Trade Agreement between Montenegro and Turkey have been completed, after the protocols on additional liberalization of mutual trade in agricultural products were initialled.
The protocols were inked at the Ministry of Economy on Monday, which marked the official end of negotiations on the agreement extension and amendment.
“The protocols focus on additional liberalization of mutual trade in agricultural products and access to the services market,” says a press release issued by the Ministry.
The Ministry says that additional liberalization has been agreed through amendments to Protocol I, bearing in mind that the current agreement allowed for a high level of liberalization in the trade in agricultural products.
“The access to services market has been agreed through Protocol III on trade in services,” the press release says, adding that the Protocol also includes the parts related to telecommunications, financial services, coproduction of films and TV series, e-commerce, and movement of natural persons for business purposes, defining the relations between the two countries in more detail.
