Action plans to be adjusted to negotiation phase

Podgorica, (MINA) – It is necessary to revise and adjust the action plans to the current negotiation phase, said Chief Negotiator with the EU Aleksandar Drljevic.

At the meeting of the European Integration Committee he said that the approach for this year will involve answering to the questions of the European Commission, and not writing the reports on the carried out activities.

Drljevic presented the key aspects of the semiannual report on the action plans for chapters 23 and 24.

He, according to the parliament’s press release, informed the members of the Committee that majority of 83 benchmarks have been met.

Drljevic said that the civil sector representatives contributed to preparation and commenting on the reports.

President of the Committee Slaven Radunovic suggested that the reports should be more concrete and show real assessments of the situation and concrete results in comparison to the existing challenges in the fields of judiciary, fundamental rights, freedom, justice and security.
