A public call launched

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Ministry of Economy has invited distributors, installers and contractors involved in the implementation of energy efficiency measures to apply for participation in the “Energy Efficient Home” programme until 22 July.

“The programme is aimed at establishing an attractive and sustainable financial mechanism for provision of interest-free loans to the households, allowing the purchase and installation of biomass heating systems, thermal insulation of homes and installation of energy efficient doors and windows,” the Ministry says in the call.

The purpose of the “Energy Efficient Home” programme is to facilitate the energy and money saving by offering the interest-free loans for the biomass heating systems and financing of works on the improvement of energy efficiency.

The Ministry has provided €100,000 for implementation of this programme, and the citizens can apply for the interest-free loans of up to €10,000 with a repayment period of up to 6 years.

In the previous phase of this programme, a total of 93 Montenegrin households applied different energy efficiency measures.

The Energy Efficient Home programme is a follow-up to the Energy Wood programme, which had been implemented in three phases, resulting in the installation of more than a thousand biomass heating systems throughout Montenegro. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
