Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The London-based magazine Finance Central Europe has awarded the title of the best bank in Montenegro in 2018 to Hipotekarna banka.
Every year, the magazine publishes a list of best banks in Central and Southeast Europe. |
The magazine’s survey includes a list of top 100 banks according to the capital, profit, assets, return on assets and return on capital, and the bank rankings for 13 different countries including Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo Macedonia Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey.
The title of the best bank in Montenegro in terms of assets and capital was won by Crnogorska komercijalna banka (CKB).
Last year’s best bank in terms of earnings before taxes is Erste Bank, which has also won the title of the best bank in the category of return on assets.
The first-ranked bank in terms of return on capital was Societe Generale Bank Montenegro.
Addiko Bank was the best small bank, while CEO of Hipotekarna Bank Esad Zaimovic was the best banker in Montenegro in 2018.
