Parliament passes Resolution on Podgorica Assembly

Podgorica, (MINA) – Members of the Montenegrin Parliament have passed a resolution declaring the decisions of the historic Podgorica Assembly as null and void.

Out of the 61 MPs voting, 46 voted in favor of the Resolution, 15 were against and there were no abstentions.

The Resolution was backed by the ruling coalition, the Social Democratic Party and independent MP Nedjeljko Rudovic.

MPs of the Democratic Bloc (DF), and MPs from the Special Parliamentary Group Goran Danilovic and Goran Radonjic voted against.

The Resolution underlines that the 1918 Podgorica Assembly was an unlawful and illegitimate gathering which was used an instrument for carrying out a coup in Montenegro.
