Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Protector of Property and Legal Interests of Montenegro, Dragana Djuranovic, has informed the Minister of Education, Damir Sehovic, and the Minister of Health, Kenan Hrapovic, that she has no jurisdiction to grant their request and provide an opinion on draft concession document and concession contracts for the airports.
Djuranovic informed Sahovic and Hrapovic that, according to the law, they may not request an opinion from the Protector as individuals.
“According to the law, the Protector may not give an opinion to individuals,” says a press release issued by the Government’s Public Relations Service.
On behalf of the Social Democrats (SD), Sehovic and Hrapovic had sent a concession document on the Airports of Montenegro and concession contracts for the airports of Podgorica and Tivat to the Protector of Protector of Property and Legal Interests of Montenegro, requesting from her to provide an opinion on those documents pursuant to the State Property Law.
The Government decided to offer the Montenegrin airports to potential concessionaires for a period between 25 and 30 years.
