Podgorica, Durres, (MINA) – The level of trust in the region is significantly higher and the prime ministers understand each other well, but there should be no talks on new commitments until the already undertaken ones have been met, Prime Minister Dusko Markovic has stated.
Addressing an informal meeting of the prime ministers of the Western Balkans Six in Durres, Albania, he voiced Montenegro’s position that new commitments should not be discussed until the current once have been implemented.
“The level of trust in the region is significantly higher, the prime ministers understand each other well and they are sending clear messages and signals in which direction we should be moving and working together, but we need to meet the commitments that we have undertaken. This should not be a matter of paperwork, but a matter of responsibility for our commitments,” Markovic noted.
According to him, those commitments have already been agreed with the European Union.
