Outflow €444 million

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to preliminary statistics of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), the total inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI) amounted to €747.6 million in the first eleven months of 2018, while the outflow totalled €444 million.

According to the latest CBCG Bulletin, this trend is a result of a considerably higher inflow based on the ownership investments and repayment of debts.

The residents’ investments abroad amounted to €51.1 million, while the withdrawal of money invested in Montenegro by non-residents amounted to €392.8 million.

The FDI inflow related to ownership investments amounted to €450.8 million, which accounts for 60.3 percent of the total inflow. Of that amount, the inflow based on the real estate investments amounted to €161.7 million, while the investments in companies and banks amounted to €289.1 million.

The inflow in the form of intercompany debt amounted to €276 million in the first eleven months.
