Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Director of the National Parks of Montenegro (NPCG) Elvir Klica has said that the National Park of Durmitor was visited by 220,210 tourists last year, nineteen percent more than in 2017.
He said that this national park had seen a steady increase in the number of tourist arrivals in the previous years.
“If we compare the figures from 2010 and the last year, it is evident that the number of visitors has increased by nearly five times,” said Klica.
According to him, this obliges the NPCG to enhance the existing and develop new tourism products in line with the sustainable development principles and in cooperation with the national institutions.
