Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, has said that Montenegro will become one of the most prestigious tourist and investment destinations.
At the event “Doing Business with Montenegro” in Milan, he said that the country would maintain a dynamic pace towards European quality of life for its citizens.
“We are the most dynamic investment destination and will continue to be so in the decades to come,” said Djukanovic.
He added that, even though it might sound pretentious, Porto Montenegro was one of the best marinas in the world.
“If we have succeeded in achieving that, and if we are developing Lustica, Portonovi, and if many investors and hotel operators are present in Montenegro, why couldn’t we go even further,” said Djukanovic.
He believes that Europe got tired of traditional tourist destinations and is in search of the new ones.
“What we have is space, as opposed to many others who have used up theirs,” said Djukanovic.
He said that the main goal of every government was to improve the quality of life for its citizens.
Talking about the Bar-Boljare motorway, power interconnection with Italy and tourism industry projects, Djukanovic presented the ongoing and planned investments.
The book “Doing Business with Montenegro” by Honorary Consul of Montenegro Dolly Predovic, offering information of the investment opportunities in Montenegro through statistical data in interviews with entrepreneurs, was presented at the event.
