Podgorica, Novi Sad, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Ministry of Economy, there are many opportunities for cooperation between the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and Montenegro, especially in the field of improvement of the information and technology sector in modernization of agricultural products, as well as in tourism and agriculture.
At a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Vojvodina Djordje Milicevic, held during the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulic said that Serbia was Montenegro’s most important partner in both import and export.
“The fact that the exhibitors from Montenegro have won 163 medals for quality here this year says enough about the quality of our domestic products and profitability of investing in this sector,” said Sekulic.
She reminded of the full support provided to the private sector through different support programmes for entrepreneurs.
“Last year, we supported over 100 companies, around 50 percent more than in 2017, and we are positive that this number will continue to increase this year,” said Sekulic.
There are ten Montenegrin exhibitors at the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, which brings together the major agribusiness players from the region.
