Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Governor of Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), Ralf Wenzel, has said that CEB is ready to support Montenegro in its effort to invest in the future of the community through social projects.
At a meeting with the Minister of Finance, Darko Radunovic, he underlined the importance of cooperation with Montenegro in the field of housing projects for the vulnerable social groups, adding that CEB specialized in financing the social infrastructure projects.
Wenzel said that he was impressed with Montenegro’s economic growth and outlook.
The Ministry of Finance says in a press release that Radunovic and CEB representatives discussed the state of affairs in the Montenegrin economy, the status of joint projects and future cooperation prospects.
He reminded of the positive results achieved in the tourism, civil engineering and energy sectors, which had resulted in an average GDP growth of 4.7 percent in the first half of the year.
Radunovic and Wenzel agreed that their joint activities were being carried out according to the plan, and that they would explore the fields of the government’s social responsibility that could be improved through joint efforts.
