Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Over 1.27 million passengers have used the services of the Airports of Montenegro since the beginning of the year, 100,000 more than in the same period last year.
Executive Director of the company Danilo Orlandic says that the latest passenger statistics show that the optimism expressed at the beginning of the year was justified.
“Our airports have serviced 1.27 million passengers since the beginning of the year, 100,000 more than in the same period last year. The number of aircraft handled has increased by four percent,” Orlandic says in a press release.
He says that the Airport of Tivat is expected to see even higher increase in the number of passengers, as the high tourist season is under way.
Orlandic says that the two airports are expected to handle approximately 2.6 million passengers by the end of the year, and break the record set in 2018.
