Podgorica, (MINA) – Following the appointment of Veselin Veljovic as Director of the Police Administration, government representatives intend to put forward amendments to the Law on Interior Affairs, in order to separate the Police Administration from the Ministry of Interior, Dan reports.
This would extent Veljovic’s powers to those are currently held by the Minister of Interior. Those two bodies functioned separately during Veljovic’s previous term as Chief of Police.
Veljovic told Dan that this issue lies entirely within the Government’s remit.
