Podgorica, (MINA) – The youth is the most important resource of Montenegrin society, said Minister of Education Damir Sehovic and stressed that potential for internationalization of higher education is constantly growing.
Ministers of education, science and sport, Sehovic, Sanja Damjanovic and Nikola Janovic spoke on Wednesday with 70 students from all Montenegrin universities within the second “Ask Minister” forum.
Sehovic reiterated that free basic and master studies have been introduced, and that around 300 scholarships for best students are awarded annually.
“We have created the first Law on Academic Integrity which countries of the region and broader do not have, and we have procured the antiplagiarism software for all faculties”, said Sehovic.
He said that he could not agree with the comment that many young people attends protests.
Asked to comment on the fact that more and more young people are leaving the country, Sehovic said that the reality should be observed objectively.
“This country has never been investing more in education”, said he and added that although the situation is not ideal, things are moving forward.
