Rakcevic acquires a 26 percent stake in the Institute

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The hotel company Vile Oliva, owned by the businessmen Zarko Rakcevic, has acquires nearly 26 percent stake in the Institute “Simo Milosevic,” in today’s transaction on the Montenegro Stock Exchange.

Rakcevic told Mina-business agency that Vile Oliva had bought 99,190 shares of the Institute at the price of €28.5 per share. The total value of the transaction was €2.83 million.

“Together with our partners, we have been visiting the Institute for months, performing economic, financial and technical due diligence, which was followed by our letter of intent to acquire a stake in this company sent to the relevant authorities in Montenegro and Serbia,” said Rakcevic.

He said that the Serbian authorities had decided to sell its stake of nearly 26 percent, or 99,190 shares, at the highest ever price on the stock exchange.

“Since we had previously acquired a stake in the Institute, Vile Oliva’ stake is now nearly 27 percent,” said Rakcevic.

He hopes that his company will be the best bidder when Montenegro decides to launch a public call for sale of a 56 percent stake in the Institute.

Rakcevic expects that the human and spatial resources of the Institute would be tapped in the best way in cooperation with serous partners, in the interest of the citizens of Herceg Novi and Montenegro.
