Podgorica, (MINA) – The Netherlands expects that further reforms will bring Montenegro to fully-fledged membership of the European Union, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Zoran Pazin stated at the end of his two-day visit to The Hague.
“At all meetings with senior Dutch officials I heard words of encouragement and support for the reforms that Montenegro has carried out, as well as the expectations that the continuation of the ongoing reforms will lead us to fully-fledged membership of the EU,” Pazin noted.
According to a press release from his office, at a meeting with Dutch MPs, members of the parliamentary committees for European affairs and security, the DPM presented the specific results that Montenegro has produced in the fight against organized crime and corruption.
He remarked that those results serve to solidify the foundations of justice and security in Montenegro and the broader region and recommend Montenegro for fast accession to the EU.
