Montenegro committed to fulfilling the closing benchmarks

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Chief Negotiator with the European Union, Aleksandar Drljevic, has said that Montenegro is working hard on the fulfilment of closing benchmarks for the chapters related to innovation, human resources, information society and social policy.

“We are firmly committed to maintaining a good pace in the implementation of reforms and meeting the standards of the most developed countries in Europe,” Drljevic said at a meeting of the Subcommittee on Innovation, Human Resources, Information Society and Social Policy.

According to a press release issued by the General Secretariat of the Government, the results Montenegro had achieved in the negotiation process within the framework of the chapters covered by the Subcommittee, were presented at a meeting with representatives of the European Commission.

“We have discussed the ongoing activities, as well as the forthcoming obligations and plans under the chapters related to the free movement of workers, information society and the media, social policy and employment, science and research, education and culture,” the press release says.
