Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In the first nine months, the total loans granted in Montenegro amounted to €2.99 billion, 2.1 percent more compared with the previous month.
According to the Central Bank (CBCG), the total lending increased by 1.7 percent, compared with the same period of 2017.
Retail and corporate loans accounted for 74.6 percent of the total loans.
At the end of September, the total deposits decreased by 2.1 percent on a monthly level to €3.46 billion, while they rose by 10.3 percent year-on-year.
The total deposits of citizens amounted to €1.31 billion at the end of September, 0.5 percent less than the month before.
Compared with the same month of 2017, the deposits of citizens increased by 10.1 percent.
Out of all deposits made by citizens, time deposits accounted for 45.7 percent, and demand deposits for 54.3 percent.
