Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Government has invited potential leaseholders to submit their bids for 192 hectares of land at Sas and Fraskanjel in the Municipality of Ulcinj, which is the largest area offered so far within the framework of this project.
The bids may be submitted until 25 December at 1 p.m. and they will be opened at 2 p.m. at the Government building.
The Commission for Valorisation of the State-owned Agricultural Land has offered these plots of unused agricultural land in order to ensure new investments in the agricultural sector, which are expected to boost domestic production, job creation and business opportunities.
The land at Sas and Fraskanjel will be leased for a period of 30 years for the purpose of agricultural production.
The eligible bidders are expected to propose an investment programme, worth at least €2 million, specifying the number of new jobs, output and the land use plan.
“The bidder is obliged to use at least 80 percent for the leased area for production, and to fulfil all obligations defined by the investment programme within five years,” the press release says.
