Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In the last two years, Montenegro has achieved encouraging and concrete results in the agricultural sector, said the line minister Milutin Simovic, adding that they could be even better with combined efforts of the key stakeholders.
He announced even stronger support to this sector in the coming period.
At a press conference, organized on the occasion of the expiry of the second year from the establishment of the current government, Simovic presented the results in the field of agriculture, rural development, fisheries and water management, saying that they were encouraging.
“The agricultural budget is significantly larger,” Simovic said, adding the funds from that source had exceeded a total of €70 million in the previous two years.
According to him, the financial support of European and other international funds has also increased, thanks to Montenegro’s progress in the integration process.
