Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Ministry of Finance plans to issue five- and seven-year government bonds in the domestic market this year, starting from the next month.
The Ministry previously issued bonds in the international market on several occasions, while its plans to limit this year’s issue to the domestic market.
“This year, the Ministry plans to focus its activities on this type of financing, based on the bonds with different maturity period,” says a press release issued by the Ministry.
The bonds will be issued for a period of five and seven years, and the interest will paid on six- or 12-month basis, while their face value will be repaid on the maturity date.
“The bonds will be available to all interested foreign and domestic individuals and companies, allowing all stakeholders to participate in the transactions,” the press release says.
Given that the bonds will amount to €1,000, the Ministry believes that the individuals, who increasingly take part in these transactions, will be interested in this issue.
Between €30 million and €50 million will be issued for a period of seven years, while the five-year issue will be worth between €100 million and €140 million.
