Podgorica, (MINA) – Accepting the reality that Montenegro has chosen its foreign policy course, just like many other countries with whom Russia cooperates quite well, creates conditions for bringing bilateral relations beck to normal, Foreign Minister Srdjan Darmanovic has stated.
He told Pobjeda that many differences will remain, above all the one that Russia is a big power which looks at NATO as its competitor and often even an adversary, while Montenegro is a member of that alliance and remains faithful to its international commitments.
The Foreign Minister also noted that it is very important what kind of policy Russia will have towards the region, since Montenegro supports only those strategies that contribute to regional peace, stability and security.
