Podgorica, (MINA) – Organized crime cannot outpower state institutions, Chief Special Prosecutor Milivoje Katnic and Chief of Police Veselin Veljovic have stated.
Katnic, Veljovic and Assistant Chief of Police for the Crime Department Enis Bakovic paid a visit on Tuesday to the Special Police Unit, headed by Dragan Radonjic.
“Katnic and Veljovic agreed that organized crime cannot outpower state institutions and that the efforts against crime will prevail, along with the continuation of concrete operations with measurable results,” the police said a press release.
Reportedly, Katnic and Veljovic pledged to maintain continued communication and carefully monitor the efforts aimed against organized criminal groups and associated persons.
Veljovic is said to have thanked Katnic on the past productive cooperation, adding that he expects the Special State Prosecutor’s Office and the Special Police Unit to produce even better results and meet joint priorities in the future.
