Podgorica, (MINA) – There is no purpose of taking part in the elections if there are no fundamental changes of the electoral conditions and if the government of civic unity would not be formed by 1 December at the latest, president of the Civic Movement URA Dritan Abazovic and one of the Resist Movement leaders Dzemal Perovic agreed.
URA stated that Perovic and Abazovic discussed the current political situation and the position in which the opposition was regarding forming of the new Electoral Reform Committee.
It is stated that only the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) have benefits from the existing atmosphere of conflicts within the opposition and that it was high time to stop such practices since the citizens demand agreement.
“The electoral system in Montenegro must see thorough reform since with the institutions such as the Anti-Corruption Agency, Supreme and Special prosecutor’s offices, RTCG, the State Electoral Commission and many others, we cannot speak about free and fair elections”, Abazovic and Perovic remarked.
They were, according to the press release, unanimous in the message that there is no purpose of taking part in the elections if they are not free and if there are no fundamental reforms of the existing electoral conditions and the government of civic unity is not formed, according to the agreement, by 1 December at the latest.
