Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Executive Director and founder of the web platform seljak.me Marko Maras has said that the startup community is well-developed in Montenegro but it is necessary to find a direct model for its financing.
He believes that there are many workshops and training activities for the startups community in Montenegro, but it is still necessary to find a sustainable financing model.
“Finding a model of financing that involves large companies and public institutions could be a good way to finance the startup community,” Maras told Mina-business agency.
He added that, with a good financing model, the startup community in Montenegro could be more active.
Maras said that the development of the Montenegrin startup community was noticeable in the last two years, adding that the people are increasingly interested in launching their own startups.
“There are a lot of young people with good ideas, but not all of them have access to funding. Many startups are closed down for this reason and people are turning to conventional jobs,” said Maras.
He said that everybody who plans to develop a startup should be persistent. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
