Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In the first ten months, the total loans granted in Montenegro amounted to €2.98 billion, 0.2 percent less compared with the previous month.
According to the Central Bank (CBCG), the total lending increased by 9.2 percent, compared with the same period of 2017.
Retail and corporate loans accounted for 75.3 percent of the total lending.
At the end of October, the total deposits decreased slightly on a monthly level to €3.46 billion, while they saw an 8.5 percent year-on-year increase.
The total deposits of citizens amounted to €1.31 billion at the end of October, 0.3 percent more than the month before.
Compared with the same month of 2017, the deposits of citizens increased by 8.1 percent.
Out of all deposits made by citizens, time deposits accounted for 45.5 percent, and demand deposits for 54.5 percent.
