Hotels put Montenegro on the map as an elite destination

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Visiting three five-star hotels recently opened on the Montenegrin coast, the Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Pavle Radulovic, has said that high-end hotels put Montenegro on the map as an elite destination.

He said that the opening of the hotel Lazuro Hotel&Marina in Meljine, Melia in Petrovac and La Perla in Tivat had not received the deserved attention because of a large number of tourists during the high season.

“These hotels have a total of 250 rooms and as many employees. This shows that modernization of tourism infrastructure is well under way in Montenegro, which had only five five-star hotels in 2012,” Radulovic said, adding that there were currently 19 five-star hotels in Montenegro with the combined capacity of approximately 3,000 beds.
He added that Montenegro was on the fast track to enhance its tourism product.
