Concern expressed about the future of bank employees

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Trade Union of Montenegrin Banks has expressed concern about the future of a large number of employees in the light of the news related to the sale of Societe Generale Bank Montenegro and the interest OTP Group, which controls Crnogorska komercijalna banka (CKB), in the acquisition of this financial company.

In a letter to Central Bank Council members, President of the Trade Union of Montenegrin Banks Lidija Pejovic says that the union is very concerned about the future of a large number of employees of the two banks.

“This concern is augmented by the lack of information coming from their managements, which have not yet confirmed the acquisition, despite the fact that we know for sure that it is in the pipeline,” says Pejovic.

She reminds that the managers of the Union of Free Trade Unions (USSCG), the banks’ trade union and the CBCG Governor had a meeting focusing on this issue in 2017.

Pejovic says that the Governor said on that occasion that this acquisition was not a good idea in such a small financial market. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
