Podgorica, (MINA) – Police officers searched on Tuesday more than 30 properties used by members of organized criminal groups and individuals associated with them in the south of Montenegro, seizing a gun, about half a kilogram of drugs, eight vehicles and more than EUR 8,000.

The Police Administration announced that during the operation, which was carried out with the tactical support of the Special Police Unit and in cooperation with the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, N.K. was arrested.

“The operation targeted internationally wanted individuals, the leader of an organized criminal group R.Z, as well as prominent members of criminal structures connected to him and other associated persons”, the press release states.

According to the police, during the search, a pistol with an obliterated serial number, about half a kilogram of marijuana and cocaine, eight vehicles, as well as over EUR 8,000 were seized.

Police officers also arrested N.K. who was found in possession of a Heckler & Koch handgun, with an obliterated serial number and a magazine with 13 rounds of ammunition, as well as cocaine and 28 pills from the list of opiates.
