Podgorica, (MINA) – The agreement that Mayor Sasa Mujovic has made with Botun residents is a proof that major and demanding projects can be implemented while showing respect for the public, dialogue, responsibility and the interests of local communities, the Podgorica local committee of the Europe Now Movement (PES) announced.

It is stated that, while certain political actors had been for months spreading fear with narratives about potential “Chernobyl” situation in Botun, trying to score cheap political points, a solution to an important environmental issue that had been postponed for years was found, while saving the budget from potential damage of over EUR 100 million.

The PES emphasized that, even after the project entered the implementation phase, Mujovic kept his promise and continued the dialogue with the citizens of Botun, taking into account their interests.
