Podgorica, (MINA) - Montenegro welcomes the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which ensures the release of hostages and facilitates the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic announced.

Israel and the Palestinian militant movement Hamas have reached an agreement on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages as part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to end the two-year war in the Palestinian enclave.

“We commend the tireless diplomatic efforts of President Trump and other international partners whose leadership has made this important breakthrough possible”, said Milatovic.

He said that Montenegro remains committed to efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace, stability and security in the Middle East.
