Podgorica, (MINA) – In the past year, the State Prosecutor’s Office successfully conducted criminal proceedings and prepared high-quality indictments, which is confirmed by its results, announced the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office (VDT).

The VDT pointed out that as many as 99.38 percent of the indictments filed by the state prosecutor’s offices were confirmed during judicial reviews, while 97.62 percent of the indictments by the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) were confirmed.

According to VDT, similar results were recorded when it comes to indictments.

According to them, courts issued convictions in 92.5 percent percent of cases prosecuted by basic, higher state prosecutor’s offices and the SDT, while 6.46 percent of verdicts were acquittals, and 1.04 percent resulted in dismissals.

The VDT said that the thorough work of the prosecutor’s offices ensured the indictments to receive court confirmation in the majority of cases and result in convictions.
