Podgorica, (MINA) – Political actors must reach an agreement when it comes to future amendments to the Constitution, said European Parliament (EP) Rapporteur for Montenegro, Marjan Sarec, stressing that ultimatums are not a good solution.

Addressing the opposition’s demands regarding judicial and institutional appointments, he told the Television of Montenegro that ultimatums are never a good solution and that certain issues must be resolved through political dialogue.

“My message to all political actors is that an agreement must be reached since the Constitution must be amended. I am convinced that an agreement will be reached. An ultimatum is never a solution, but this issue must be resolved”, said Sarec, Portal RTCG reports.

He said that it is not up to him to tell politicians how to act, but that reaching an agreement is vital.
