Podgorica, (MINA) – The Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) has filed an indictment against ten individuals charged of creating a criminal organization and smuggling over four tons of cocaine.

The SDT announced that, following the investigation completion, the indictments were submitted against V.V., A.M., V.B., V.B., N.B., B.J., M.P., R.Z., F.Z. and V.B to the Special Department of the Podgorica High Court.

“Against V.V., V.B. and V.B. the indictment was filed over four counts of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of drugs, and against N.B. over three counts of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of drugs”, the press release states.

The press release adds that the indictment against A.M. and M.P. was filed over two counts of the same criminal offence, and against R.Z., F.Z., B.J. and V.B., for one count each.

The prosecution proposed issuing detention extension orders for V.B. and V.B., and trial in absentia for V.V., F.Z., R.Z., N.B. and B.J., who remain at large. The other defendants are under detention ordered in other criminal cases.
