Podgorica, Astana (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at a business forum held in Astana that Montenegro and Kazakhstan have significant potential to enhance cooperation in the fields of tourism and real estate, energy and renewable energy sources, agriculture and the food industry, transport and logistics, and IT and digital services.
The Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) said that Kazakh and Montenegrin business representatives further strengthened economic ties between the two countries at the forum, improved mutual understanding of business opportunities, and opened new avenues for concrete projects and partnerships.
The business forum in Astana was opened by the presidents of the two countries’ chambers of commerce, Nina Drakic and Murat Karimsakov, who also signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
Drakic said that Montenegro is a stable investment destination, a member of NATO, and the most advanced candidate for future membership in the European Union.
“Kazakhstan, on the other hand, is one of the most important economic centers in Central Asia and a key participant in regional and international economic developments. It is precisely in this complementarity that we see the greatest opportunity for the development of our economic relations,” Drakic added.
Karimsakov stressed that Kazakhstan views Montenegro as a promising partner in Southeast Europe and an important platform for developing ties with European markets.
During productive B2B meetings, business representatives from both countries presented their capabilities and explored opportunities for concrete cooperation. Montenegrin business participants expressed satisfaction with their participation in the forum.
