Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The average net salary in Montenegro amounted to €1,030 in March, 0.2 percent more than in February.

According to the Statistical Office, the average net salary increased by 2.4 percent compared to last year’s corresponding period. 

The average gross salary reached €1,230 in March.

“Given that, compared with February, the consumer prices increased by 0.8 percent in March, the real wages in Montenegro decreased by 0.6 percent in this period,” Monstat said in a press release.  

In March, average net salaries increased in the fields of administrative and supporting services, civil engineering, real estate, public administration and defence: mandatory social insurance, transport and warehousing, financial and insurance services, other services, electricity and gas supply and air conditioning, healthcare and social welfare, mining and quarrying.

In the same period, average net salaries decreased in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, information and communications, wholesale and retail trade, maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles, accommodation and food services, processing industry, education, water supply and wastewater management, professional, scientific and technical activities, art, entertainment and recreation.
