Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro and Serbia will be co-financing 35 joint projects from different scientific areas, the Ministry of Science has announced.
According to a press statement, the Montenegrin Ministry of Science and the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development signed on Friday a two-year protocol on scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries, which creates the administrative framework for the implementation of joint projects.
“A mixed Montenegrin-Serbian committee has accepted a total of 35 joint projects, from different scientific areas, which have been submitted for co-financing in the area of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries for the next two years,” the statement said.
The protocol provides that the party sending scientists is covering the costs of transport between the two countries, while the party hosting them is covering the costs of their accommodation, per diems and local transport.
The two departments have agreed to publish the next call for proposals for joint projects in April 2020.
