Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro actively contributes to stability and security, promotes regional cooperation and is strongly committed to the principles of multilateralism and fulfilling OSCE goals.
It was heard in the meeting between Prime Minister Dusko Markovic and OSCE Secretary General Thomas Germinger, who is paying an official visit to Montenegro.
Markovic noted that Montenegro has achieved significant results in the field of economy, as well as in the rule of law, but that certain weaknesses remain, on which Montenegro work devotedly in order to remove them.
He stressed out that significant results have been achieved in fight against organized crime, and that Montenegro has been committed to strengthening of media freedoms and protection of journalists and media assets.
Germinger thanked to Montenegro for strong partnership and acting in accordance with the OSCE principles.
He stressed out that OSCE wants to support Montenegro in consolidation of democratic institutions, improvement of electoral system and strengthening of media freedoms.
He also emphasized the cooperation program in the field of transnational threats.
