Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Executive Director of Monteput Jonuz Mujevic has said that Montenegro will face the lowest possible costs of the motorway maintenance in line with European standards, given the quality of construction of the Bar-Boljare motorway.
“In terms of motorway maintenance, European standards are precise, as well as the costs per kilometre. Given the high quality of construction works, we will be paying the lowest possible maintenance costs,” Mujevic told Mina-business agency.
After a round table on the Bar-Boljare motorway, organized by the Network for Affirmation of NGO Sector (MANS), he said that this project is implemented at an altitude ranging between 50 and 1,100 metres.
“There will be a lot of snow to clean and demanding tunnels, while there are also equipment maintenance and traffic safety issues to be considered,” said Mujevic.
He said that the Government would decide on the matters related to the motorway toll.
“As far as I know, total revenues coming from the toll will be used for loan repayment, according to the agreement made with Exim Bank, while the complete motorway maintenance will probably be the responsibility of Monteput,” said Mujevic.
