Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have agreed that Montenegro should invest more in its infrastructure, including the roads, airports and railways, as well as the urban infrastructure.
They concluded at today’s meeting that the important urban infrastructure included waste management, water supply and wastewater treatment, healthcare and education.
During his official visit to Montenegro, First Vice President of EBRD Jurgen Rigterink met with Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Osman Nurkovic.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry, he said that this was his first visit to Montenegro and that his impressions were very positive.
“Montenegro is a small but very beautiful country, and the results it has achieved since it became independent are impressive,” said Rigterink.
He reminded that 60 projects had been implemented in Montenegro with the EBRD’s support, saying that it was a great achievement for a comparatively small economy. Longer version of article is available on a link MINA ENGLISH SERVIS
