Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Tax Administration expects the highest increase in the collection of public revenues, amounting to approximately €100 million, during the coming summer season, in August and September.
Spokesperson of the Tax Administration Milica Vuletic told Mina-business agency that between €82 million and €90 million in public revenues were expected in June and July.
“All efforts of the Tax Administration are expected to result in the same trend of successful revenue collection from the first two quarters continuing in the third one,” she said, adding that the plans for this period could be exceeded.
She said that this required a tax discipline and willingness of taxpayers to voluntarily pay their tax liabilities.
Vuletic said that the summer tourist season was an important period for the overall economy and for the tax authority, given an increase in the scope of business activities and considerably higher revenues collected by the companies compared with the rest of the year.
