8th protest ends, date for next one to be revealed subsequently

Podgorica, (MINA) – The organizers of “97000-Resist” protests announced that starting from this week, they will organize non-violent activities in all Montenegrin cities, in order to, as they stated, block the system and force the government to accept their requests.

The protest organizers said that the citizens will be subsequently informed about the date of the next protest and other activities.

Nikola Grdinic, on behalf of the organizers, said that the rising should start from all cities and announced the activities of non-violent resistance that will be organized on other days, not only Saturdays.

He said that the movement “Resist!” will never become a political party, adding that the assemblies they organize are civic assemblies for the wellbeing of all the citizens.

“By signing the agreement with the parties we opened the door to unification, since this is our joint rising, and only united can we beat the system”, said Grdinic.

He called on all the citizens not to pay attention to what the Democratic Party of Socialists and Dusko Knezevic say, or to the quarrels within the opposition.
