Podgorica, (MINA) - President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that he received an invitation, but would not attend the celebration marking the 20th anniversary of Montenegro’s independence.

He said that he saw that a “glamorous” celebration was being prepared in Montenegro and that singer Ricky Martin would perform in Podgorica for the occasion.

“It’s their right and their decision. I just want the citizens of Serbia to know one thing – that they are celebrating their secession from us, from Serbia, in such a glamorous and joyful way. I see that they are very happy to have left the Serbs and Serbia, I wish them success and happiness”, said Vucic, answering journalists’ questions at the construction site of the Expo exhibition.

He stated that it is strange that “Serbs do not have the right to use the Serbian language as an official language” in Montenegro, and that Europe does not insist on that.
