Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro (TurkCham Montenegro), the total value of investments made by Turkish investors in Montenegro from 2006 to this year has reached approximately €635 million.
Executive Director of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro Baris Polat said that the TurkCham’s confidence in Montenegro’s investment potential and economic future remains strong.
“Turkish investments worth €635 million are the best proof of that confidence. We believe that new projects will be implemented in the coming period, particularly in manufacturing, tourism, energy, the agri-food industry, and infrastructure. As TurkCham, we will continue to strengthen the economic bridge between Montenegro and Turkiye and provide support to investors from both countries,” Polat said in a press release.
The Turkish Chamber of Commerce stated that economic relations between the two countries continue to develop at a steady pace.
“This volume of investment is a significant indicator of the confidence Turkish investors have in Montenegro’s economy, as well as the level of economic cooperation between our two friendly countries. These investments have made a substantial contribution to Montenegro’s economic development through investments in tourism, construction, trade, manufacturing, banking, and services, creating new jobs and generating added value for the national economy,” the press release said.
The Chamber said that economic cooperation between Montenegro and Turkiye is a natural continuation of the strong political, cultural, and historical ties between the two countries.
“Montenegro’s progress on its European path, improvements in the business environment, and regional stability have further increased the interest of Turkish investors in Montenegro as an investment destination,” the press release reads.
