Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The average net salary in Montenegro amounted to €1,030 in May, up 0.4 percent on April.

According to the Statistical Office, the average net salary increased by 1.9 percent in May, compared to last year’s corresponding period.

The average gross salary in Montenegro reached €1,230 in May.

“Given that, compared with April, the consumer prices increased by 0.4 percent in July, the real wages in Montenegro remained at the same level,” stated a press release from Monstat.

In May, average net salaries increased in the field of real estate, civil engineering, accommodation and food services, processing industry, transport and warehousing, art, entertainment and recreation, healthcare and social welfare, administrative and supporting services, financial and insurance services, public administration and defence: mandatory social insurance, water supply, wastewater management, retail and wholesale trade, maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles, education, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, and information and communications.

In the same period, average net salaries decreased in the field of professional, scientific and technical activities, mining and quarrying, other services, electricity and gas supply and air conditioning.
